The High Voltage news just keeps amping up! We’re excited to announce that professional racing driver and hot shoe Randy Pobst will be joining us for the inaugural High Voltage Experience.
Pobst joins an existing team of curated professional drivers including 24 Hours of Daytona racer Ian Baas, and SCCA World Challenge racer Mitch Wright. The group will provide Road Course participants with classroom education and be present trackside to help them apply their classroom knowledge to the pavement. Lead/follow parade laps will be conducted throughout the 2-day event in order to help participants that are new to Sonoma’s road course learn the line and how to best utilize their EV’s capability to navigate their ride through every apex.
Pobst is an avid YouTuber and has written for several publications including Motor Trend and “SportsCar”, SCCA’s monthly member magazine.
About Sonoma: Sonoma Raceway is a world-famous 12-turn, 2.5-mile road course located in the hilly landscape of Sonoma, California. It plays host to one of the seven NASCAR Cup Series races each year and has also hosted several IndyCar Series along with several other auto and motorcycle races since its inception in 1968. The facility has also been receptive over the last decade to alternative energy racing as well, having hosted the Shell Eco-Marathon for several years along with Michelin’s Challenge Bibendum.
